Blessed New Year Greetings!
2018 is history and I pray that 2019 will be His Story in our lives. As we move forward, we should make sure that we learn to hear His word and do His will.
Life is never worth it when we live for our own and on our own. Our Lord Jesus is the true life and as we hold the Word of life we touch and inspire those who are discouraged and depressed in life. Those who are tormented by the enemy and his evil schemes find grace and life in the Lord Jesus as we surrender to the Almighty God.
In Matthew 17, we read about a concerned dad who brought his son to the disciples. There was an epileptic on the boy and he often fell into fire and water. The disciples failed in their attempt to save the boy and the desperate father took the matter to the Lord Jesus. Jesus rebuked the demonic spirit that was behind the issue and the boy was set free from that very moment. Then the disciples sought to understand from the Lord on why they failed in freeing the boy, the Lord taught them a powerful lesson on faith.
Knowledge about Jesus should translate into faith. The disciples in their attempt didn’t operate in faith and the Lord encouraged them to have faith as a mustard seed. This small faith in the Lord Jesus was powerful enough to move mountains. Some manuscripts add the verse about fasting and prayer that helps us to cultivate this kind of faith and deliver those who are oppressed by the enemy.
This year as you increase in the knowledge of the Son of God, allow faith to grow in your heart. When it develops even as small as a mustard seed, it will have the potential to move any mountain sized problem or oppression in life. Remember faith grows inside of you to uproot mountains.
I pray that in 2019 you will possess much faith and operate it to see the glory of God.
"He replied, “Because you have so little faith. Truly I tell you, if you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you.”
1 Corinthians 13:2
"if I have a faith that can move mountains,”
