"Jesus said to them, “Come and have breakfast.” None of the disciples dared ask him, “Who are you?” They knew it was the Lord." (John 21:12)
The night was bad. The disciples under the leadership of Peter tried their bit in fishing after a gap of around three and half years. Their Lord was not physically present with them and they lost their grip over their trade. They probably did not want to face the morning and that's when they heard the voice of God asking them to cast their nets on the right side of their boat. They caught 153 large variety of fish and they could not in fact pull the net to the boat. As they reached the shore, they saw a fire of burning coals there with fish on it, and some bread. Our Lord had already prepared the breakfast for them. The bread baked on coals can be a pointer to the miracle Elijah experienced in the wilderness and here was someone greater than Elijah doing the miracle in front of them to feed them.
None of the disciples dared to ask Him, who He was . They knew in their heart it was the Lord. Our Lord Jesus is alive and He works in ways we cannot see. He can turn that messy situation into a situation where His glory is manifested. You will for sure know that it is the Lord who is personally intervening in your situation. Have you faced a night of failure and frustration? Our Lord is waiting for you with a miracle breakfast and you will experience Him more closer than anything else. For further reading: 1 Kings 19:1-11, Psalm 78:24-25
